German Red Cross is looking for a full-time CCA Coordinator (male/female) to provide climate-related support for an innovative new pilot project in Bangladesh. Salary range is BDT 200,000-250,000. In this project the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) will work with the support of German Red Cross and the Red Crescent Climate Centre (RCCC). German Red Cross (GRC) is working in Bangladesh under the integration agreement with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Bangladesh Delegation. Job Location is Dhaka. Job duration is 24 months starting from 1st July, 2015. He/she will report to the Project Delegate (administrative) and to the Senior Climate Specialist of the RCCC (technical). Application deadline is 14 June, 2015.

Candidates should have science, mathematics, engineering, or systems modeling background. At least 5 years relevant experience preferably on societal applications of scientific information is needed. Candidates having in meteorology or climatology background will be preferred.

The CCA Coordinator will work with diverse stakeholders across many disciplines, using scientific analysis and information to achieve societal impact and institutional change. He/she would be responsible for engaging and facilitating learning and dialogue among diverse groups. He/she will support humanitarian and scientific partners to develop and test innovative Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
