One Student One Laptop Program Registration under ICT Division and Exim Bank is going on. ‘One Student One Laptop‘ program has been undertaken under ICT Division, in collaboration with EXIM Bank with the aim to distribute laptops to students.
The project will be implemented from 30th April and a website has already been launched to facilitate the registration process.
The project will be inaugurated on 30th April by Sajeeb Wazed Joy, ICT Advisor to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the event will be held in the conference room of Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC).
State Minister for ICT, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Atiur Rahman, Governor of Bangladesh Bank, Professor Dr. A A M S Arefin Siddique, Vice Chancellor of University of Dhaka, Shyam Sunder Sikder, Secretary, ICT Division will be present in the event.

An undertaking form for collecting a laptop has already been posted in the ICT Division website. According to the webpage, Dell laptops will be provided by Atiqur Rahman, Country Manager for Dell but it is stated that no contract has been signed with ICT Division yet.
To get a laptop, students will require a valid identity card of their institution.
Nevertheless, it is not yet known whether students will be given a laptop free or they will have to pay for it in installments. Previously, ICT Division had an agreement with Janata Bank for providing loans to students for buying laptops.
