Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarship. The University of Melbourne established International Undergraduate Scholarships in recognition of the noteworthy contribution of the international students to the diversity of the University’s student population. The University generally grants 50 scholarships per year. Scholarships is awarded to students from countries for example Bangladesh, Mexico, Singapore, China, Mauritius, Malaysia, Sweden, USA and India.
Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarship
To be eligible for a fee remission scholarship you must:
Be a citizen of a country excluding Australia and New Zealand
You cannot be a permanent inhabitant of Australia;
Have received an unconditional offer for an undergraduate course;
Not have formerly undertaken any tertiary studies (not including extension studies completed as part of a year 12 program);
Have attained outstanding final year school results, such as:
- 4 A-grades in the GCE A Levels
- Overall 98% in an approved Foundation program;
- An ATAR of 99.9 in the Australian Year 12 program,
- An International Baccalaureate (IB) score of 44;
The International Undergraduate scholarship offers one of the following benefits:
A 100% remission from tuition fees for the normal full-time duration of an undergraduate degree.
A one off $10,000 fee reduction from tuition fees in the first year of an undergraduate degree;
A 50% decrease from tuition fees for the normal full-time duration of an undergraduate degree;
You do not require putting forward an application for this scholarship.
All qualified students who have received an absolute offer for admission to an undergraduate degree will automatically be considered.
International Undergraduate Fee Remission Scholarships are offered on the basis of academic merit. It is allocated on a competitive basis subject to quotas by course and region.
There are 05 selection rounds with a selected number of scholarships available for each round:
- November, December and January (for student starting in Semester 1 or 2)
- April and May (for students starting in Semester 2)
Successful candidates are informed via email within two weeks of the selection round being held.
