ICCR that is the Indian Council of Cultural Relations offers scholarships to Bangladeshi students to study in India in Under Graduate, Post Graduate and PhD level. The last date of application is December 10, 2015 at 5:00pm. The Scholarship is for the academic session 2016-17. The scholarships will be offered under the Bangladesh, India and Commonwealth Scholarship Scheme. Meritorious Bangladeshi Students who are willing to pursue various courses in India at the Under Graduate, Post Graduate and PhD level may apply. The scholarship is not applicable to students who studies Medicine. A press release issued by the High Commission of India to Bangladesh conveyed this information on November 30, 2015.

Candidates should have minimum 60 percent marks or GPA 3 out of GPA 5 in the qualifying examination.
Candidates must have proficiency in English too.

Candidates should fill up (typed and not handwritten) the application form. Applicants will have to face an English Proficiency Test (EPT) at the three above mentioned locations on December 12, 2015. The EPT will be held in groups from 11:00am. The duration of each test is 30 minutes. Exact venue will be notified in due course. The successful applicants must submit two set hard copies of the application forms with supporting documents.
